Watch For Centennial Bowl Closures The Week Of January 20-25

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the northbound U.S.. Highway 95 to eastbound 215 Beltway connector from 9 p.m.., January 20, until 5 a.m.., January 21, in northwest Las Vegas. Additionally, the Ann Road onramp to northbound U.S.. Highway 95 will be closed nightly from 9 p.m.. until 5 a.m.., beginning the evening of January 20 and continuing through the morning of January 25.

The temporary closures are needed for hydraulic improvements related to the $73 million next phase of the “Centennial Bowl.” The project calls for constructing a northbound U.S.. Highway 95 to westbound 215 Beltway flyover, plus building a southbound U.S.. Highway 95 to eastbound 215 Beltway connector along with adding new freeway ramps, among other improvements. A project groundbreaking ceremony will be held January 22 in northwest Las Vegas.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures, and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
