Stretch Of 15N Closed This Weekend

Paving Work Continues For Project Neon

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A rough week for drivers on I-15 is about to get a little rougher this weekend in one particular spot.

Starting at 10pm, a stretch of 15 North between Sahara and D Street will be closing so N-DOT crews can do paving work related to Project Neon, the widening of I-15 between the Spaghetti Bowl and Sahara.

This week, drivers on both sides of I-15 between Sahara and Silverado Ranch have been affected by paving-related lane restrictions that are part of the final phase for the biggest road construction project in Nevada's history. After the full closure of 15N is lifted, lane restrictions will continue to be seen on 15N between Silverado Ranch and Sahara through Tuesday.

Project Neon is 96 percent done, with full completion of the work scheduled for later this summer.
