LAS VEGAS, NV -  The Raiders are getting involved with their new community in Las Vegas as they particpate in a  week long event with the Clark County School District (CCSD) promoting peace.

This week, Raiders alumni and Raider Rusher, the team’s Youth Ambassador, students from Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts, Clark County School District representatives will participate in Peace week.  The Raiders will dedicate a place of peace on campus and participate in a parade at Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts to cap off Peace Week festivities.

CCSD Equity and Diversity Education Division was the recipient of a Social Responsibility grant from the Raiders in support of Peace Week, which began on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Peace Week is a statewide movement for building a culture of peace and an opportunity for the members of CCSD to mark individual and organizational progress toward building such a culture. To accomplish this goal, 25 K-12 schools districtwide received either a peace pole inscribed with “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in the four most common languages spoken at each school or t-shirts featuring the Peace Week and Raiders logos.

Peace Week concludes Friday with a parade at Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts starting at 1 p.m.
