Public Meeting On The I-15/215 Beltway Interchange Scheduled For Next Week

Chance For Public To Give Input And Ask Questions To Transportation Officials

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - If you'd like to get information or ask questions about the design of the Interstate 15/215 interchange, your chance is coming up.

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), in cooperation with the City of North Las Vegas, is holding a public information meeting to solicit input on the final design of the I-15/215 Northern Beltway interchange. The meeting will be conducted open house style with displays, maps and project staff. Proposed improvements call for new flyover ramps between I-15 and the 215 Beltway interchange, added I-15 southbound ramps, and reconstruction of I-15 northbound ramps for the Tropical Parkway interchange as well as local street upgrades, plus landscaping and aesthetics. The design is expected a finish in the second quarter of 2019 with an anticipated groundbreaking in the fourth quarter of 2019. Project completion is scheduled for 2022.

The informational meeting will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the North Las Vegas City Hall, Council Chambers. That's located at 2250 North Las Vegas Boulevard in North Las Vegas.  A presentation will be made at 5:30 p.m., followed by a brief question and answer period.

This project will relieve congestion, improve efficiency and enhance safety in fast-growing North Las Vegas while providing capacity for future growth and development. For more project information.

The public is encouraged to attend. Comments may be submitted for the public record in writing at the meeting or verbally to a court reporter who will be present at the meeting.
