Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - City council members from across Southern Nevada are joining forces to present the “Southern Nevada Works Virtual Job Fair” next Thursday from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Job seekers can register to participate online. There is no cost to participate in the virtual job fair, but registration is required.

The free virtual job fair is presented by Las Vegas Councilwoman Olivia Diaz, North Las Vegas Councilman Scott Black, Henderson Councilwoman Michelle Romero and Boulder City Councilwoman Judith Hoskins, in partnership with Nevada’s Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) and Workforce Connections’ One-Stop Career Centers.

The “Southern Nevada Virtual Job Fair” will feature multiple businesses located in each city that are hiring now for open job positions.  Employers will educate job seekers about their company and the opportunities available, as well as provide job seekers valuable information about how to stand out when applying.  Job seekers will be able to ask employers questions using the online platform’s chat function.

“The virtual job event is a safe and easy way to bring together companies that are currently hiring with a wide range of job seekers,” said Henderson Councilwoman Michelle Romero. “Through this innovative approach to connect folks that need jobs and potential employers, we hope to provide economic opportunity and financial relief to residents who have been impacted by the COVID-19 public health emergency.”
