Some Valley hospitals resuming visiting hours

A host of Covid safety guidelines are in place

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The six local hospitals of the Valley Health System have resumed limited inpatient visitation. Visitation was allowed again beginning on Monday.

Inpatient visitation is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at Centennial Hills, Desert Springs, Henderson, Spring Valley, Summerlin and Valley hospitals.

The following rules have been set up:

 

 - Visitors must be 18 or older and provide the room number of the person they plan to visit.

 - Everyone must bring and wear a mask before entering the hospital and must undergo a temperature check and screening.

 - Visitors are NOT allowed to visit patients diagnosed with COVID-19 or who are undergoing diagnostic testing for COVID-19.

 - Inpatient areas: Visiting hours are 8 am – 8 pm. Only one screened negative visitor is allowed.

 - Certain compassionate care/end-of-life situations: Limited to two screened negative visitors. Visitors are limited to a specific room only.

 - Labor and Delivery: One screened negative support person may stay overnight.

 - Post-partum: One screened negative support person may stay overnight (*OB patients' families who cannot secure child care for older children should contact the facility before picking up newborns or the mothers).

 - NICU: One screened negative support person may stay overnight.

 - Pediatrics: One screened negative support person may stay overnight.

 - Patients with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities: One screened negative support person is allowed to be with the patient.

 - Emergency Department: One screened negative visitor may stay with the patient.

 - Outpatient Surgery: One screened negative visitor may accompany the patient.

 - Outpatient visits: One screened negative visitor may accompany the patient.
