Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - - Times are challenging for small local businesses, but help is on the way to help them recover and grow with the debut of the newest “Employ NV Business Hub” located inside the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Sahara West Library at 9600 W. Sahara, on the northeast corner of Sahara and Grand Canyon.

The new Employ NV Business Hub is scheduled to open on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Located next to the library’s art gallery, the new Employ NV Business Hub is a 2,650 square-foot, multi-functional space that features conference rooms equipped with the latest technology; computers and WiFi for small business owners or start-ups; plus several areas to host employer and industry networking events and workshops.

The hub is staffed with workforce development professionals who can help local employers access a host of no-cost solutions offered through the public workforce development system, such as talent recruitment, training help, financial incentives for hiring Nevadans, and more.

“Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, and we are proud to host this new Employ NV Business Hub,” said Fred James, acting executive director of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. “This new service partnership expands the variety of resources available to local businesses as they look to start-up, expand, or navigate the disruptions of the pandemic.”

The Library District also offers a range of programs and services that complement the Employ NV Business Hub, which can be easily be found on the District’s website.

“We believe the new business hubs will be pivotal in helping local businesses recover and thrive again," said Workforce Connections executive director Jaime Cruz. Workforce Connections is the local workforce development board for Southern Nevada and has helped connect employers to short and long-term help throughout the pandemic. "The needs of businesses drive our board's decisions, as we know their success determines job creation, opportunity, and economic growth for our region.”

This is the second and largest of two Employ NV Business Hubs in Southern Nevada. The first hub opened last month inside the Vegas Chamber offices at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Las Vegas.

The Employ NV Business Hubs are a coordinated effort between Workforce Connections (Southern Nevada's Local Workforce Development Board), the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR), the Nevada Department of Business and Industry, the Vegas Chamber, and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District.

The Employ NV Business Hub at Sahara West Library is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Appointments are recommended.  Please call (702) 780-8255 or email info@EmployNVBusinessHub.org.
