Metro To Hold "First Tuesday" Event Virtually This Month

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will host its inaugural virtual First Tuesday meeting through Facebook Live this month.

Due to social distancing and safety concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, the open house event has morphed into a virtual open forum for citizens to stay informed by their police department.

A few of the area commands will team up together to offer news on their respective areas, while others will hold their Facebook Live events for their own area commands.

Officers will cover topics ranging from COVID-19, food, resources, crime and mental health. Here are the times and links for each of the streaming virtual First Tuesday meetings:

 - Bolden Area Command, 5 p.m.

 - Downtown Area Command, 4 p.m.

 - Summerlin & Enterprise Area Command, 4 p.m.

 - Northeast Area Command, 2 p.m.

 - Northwest Area Command, 4 p.m.

 - Southeast Area Command, 6 p.m.

-  South Central & Convention Center Area Command, 3 p.m. 

 - Spring Valley Area Command, 3 p.m.
