Free & Low Cost Health Services Available In Henderson Today

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Touro University Nevada and the Southern Nevada Health District are teaming up with the City of Henderson to provide low-income residents with on-site healthcare services in the Morrell Park area once each month.

The partnership is designed to provide free medical care and low-cost immunizations for residents in need including seniors, adults and children.

The Touro Mobile Healthcare Clinic will be staffed by university faculty and physician assistants who will diagnose and treat a variety of ailments including sore throat and sinus infection, evaluate acute illness, practice wound care, and perform routine screenings. Participants will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis. No insurance is needed, and no I.D. is required. All ages are welcome.

A variety of low-cost immunizations administered by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) will be available in Morrell Park the same day and include diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (DTaP); hepatitis A & B; meningococcal; polio virus (IPV); tetanus (Td); tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap); measles, mumps and rubella (MMR); and chickenpox. Low-cost vaccines are available for residents who meet income eligibility requirements. Most insurances are accepted as well.
