Free East-Side COVID-19 Testing Happening Saturday

Aim Is To Increase Testing Opportunities For Latino Community

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Clark County, in collaboration with the Southern Nevada Health District, the Clark County School District, Guardian Elite Medical Services, and Community Ambulance will offer free COVID-19 this weekend with the goal of increasing coronavirus awareness and testing in the Latino Community

Testing is scheduled for Friday and Saturday between 8am and 1pm at Jerome Mack Middle School, 4250 E. Karen Ave (at Lamb)

Tests will be available on a first-come basis, or until supplies for the date run out. No appointment is needed.

The walk-in site will have 400 self-administered nasal swab tests available on a first-come, first-served basis. Testing is open to anyone, including children. Patients are asked to wear face coverings, and to bring photo identification and provide their phone numbers. All results, positive or negative, are reported to the Health District.

Testing is also scheduled next Friday and Saturday at Roy Martin Middle School, 200 N. 28th St.

The “Esta En Tus Manos” effort incudes a website at to serve as an informational hub for the Hispanic community to find testing locations, health care and other resources to help people dealing with impacts from the virus. Officials are working with a wide network of supporting community leaders, businesses, churches, Spanish-language media outlets and other organizations to help carry the messages of COVID-19 prevention, education and support into the Latino community.
