Police Sergeant At CCSD Arrested In Connection To Theft

Accused Of Stealing Items From West Career And Technical Academy

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - The Clark County School District (CCSD) Police Department made an arrest related to the theft of items from West Career and Technical Academy.

The investigation began on Monday, Dec. 3, when the school notified the police department of missing or stolen items. On Wednesday, Dec. 5, CCSD Police Department detectives arrested 56-year-old Robert J. Griffin, a sergeant with the department.

Griffin was assigned to the operations division and has been employed by the CCSD Police Department since Sept. 2006. Griffin was transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of burglary and this is an ongoing investigation.

Griffin's current employment status with CCSD is suspended without pay pending the resolution of the criminal charges.
