LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A wild scene that started with a carjacking in Henderson ended with an arrest in the southwest part of the valley on Sunday morning.

It all started just after 5:15am when Henderson Police got a call from a person saying that their vehicle had been fired upon. Shortly after the initial call, a second call came in from someone who said they had been carjacked. Police say that person was seriously hurt in the carjacking.

Henderson Police found the vehicle and the chase was on. Three law enforcement jurisdictions were involved. Henderson Police, Nevada Highway Patrol and Las Vegas Metro Police.

A portion of the westbound Southern Beltway between eastern and Warm Springs was closed in an attempt to stop the vehicle, but the attempt was unsuccessful. NHP says the woman driving the red pickup fired shots at a trooper but the trooper, who returned fire, wasn't hurt.

Eventually, the chase ended at Tropicana and Decatur, but not before the pickup driver fired on law enforcement once more. Again, no one was hit.

The woman had a minor injury but otherwise was taken into custody without further incident. Her name has not yet been released,
