Vehicle Fires Close Two Las Vegas Freeways Sunday

No Injuries, But Major Bottlenecks

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A scorching hot Sunday was made even worse for drivers after a pair major vehicle fires caused two local freeways to close.

The first incident happend in Henderson along 95S when a semi rolled over and caught fire under the Stephanie overpass.

The driver of the semi wasn't hurt, but the freeway was closed for several hours to put out the flames, clean up the debris and haul the semi off the road.

Then around 6pm, an RV caught fire in North Las Vegas on 15S between Lake Mead and Washington.

15 South was closed in the area for about 30 minutes before Nevada Highway Patrol opened up a far left lane to traffic. The occupants of the RV wenrn't hurt.
