UNLV cancels more Runnin’ Rebels’ games

Team hasn’t hit the hardcourt since early December

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels basketball program has canceled more games due to a Covid-19 outbreak involving the team.

UNLV was scheduled to play Sand Diego State at The Thomas and Mack Center on January 2nd and January 4th, but those games have been postponed.

Recently, Rebels’ coach T.J. Otzelberger said he had tested positive for Covid-19. 

In addition to the games against the Aztecs, the Runnin’ Rebels have canceled four other games. Their last game was played on December 5th, a win at Kansas State.

Their next scheduled game is January 7th at Colorado State.
