LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - University Medical Center says it will continue to operate its large-scale COVID-19 testing location at the Las Vegas Convention Center through the remainder of 2020,

The testing done at the LVCC is provided so local companies can test their employees. The testing site it not for individual walk-in patients.

UMC opened the testing center on May 21, partnering with the Culinary Health Fund, the Las Vegas Convention Center, local gaming and resort properties, and community and business leaders to provide COVID-19 testing services for local workers.

Although the location is not open to the public, UMC offers two large-scale public testing centers in Southern Nevada, providing COVID-19 tests at no out-of-pocket cost.

Both the sites at the Cashman Center and at the UNLV Thomas & Mack Center Strip View Pavilion offer free testing for individuals.

You can schedule appointments at these public testing locations by visiting www.umcsn.com/testing and selecting “Public” from the drop-down menu. While U.M.C. recommends appointments, there are walk-up stations at both public testing locations that offer some tests each day on a first-come, first-served basis.
