LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Clark County School District Police, along with Las Vegas Metro Police, are looking into threats posted on Instagram against students at Tarkanian Middle School.

The specific nature of the threats hasn't been made public, but are said to involve shootings and stabbings. Two teenage girls have been arrested in connection with them.

Police say the threats were discovered through reports on Safe Voice, a free app that lets parents and students report suspicious activities to school administration and law enforcement.

It's the third time this year that police have investigated threats involving Tarkanian Middle School.

A Snapchat post led to increased security back in November, while in December two 7th grade girls were arrested for making terroristic threats.
