LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - For the second time this week, and the third time in a month, there's been a fatal crash on I-15 that involved a worng-way driver.

The latest one occured Thursday night around 10 when a car traveling northbound in the southbound lanes slammed into another vehicle at Mile Marker 16, four miles north of Jean.

Both drivers were killed. They were the only occupants of their respective vehicles. All lanes of 15 South were closed for roughly five hours for NHP's investigation. Identities of the drivers involved have yet to be released.

Earlier this week, a man was killed when he slammed into a semi while heading south in the northbound lanes of I-15 between Charleston and Sahara. Back in November, a person was killed in a third wrong-way collision on I-15 at Cheyenne,.

The Nevada Department Of Transportaion this week announced that they would be starting a pilot program in an attempt to curb the rash of wrong-way incidents.
