LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A man was arrested early Thursday after a standoff in a room at Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall Wednesday night.

It all started when police say the man pulled a fire alarm just before 11pm. Security was dispatched to the man's room at the property near Flamingo and Boulder Highway and when the man refused to come out, police were called. Soon afterward, the situation was deemed serious enough to bring S.W.A.T teams to the scene.

Some guests on the 3rd floor of the hotel had to be evacuated while police attempted to resolve the situation.

After about 4 hours, the man surrendered peacefully. His name has not been released.

No one was hurt in the incident.
