LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT)- The suspect in a fatal crash that investigators say was caused by impaired driving pleaded not guity to all charges during a court appearance on Thursday.

Investigators say Aaron Kruse was under the influence back on November 9th when he slammed into a car at Boulder Highway and Flamingo, killing both of that car's occupants.

Kruse faces multiple felony charges, including 2nd degree murder and DUI resulting in death. Police say that Kruse admitted to them that he had been drinking before getting behind the wheel.

Several recent fatal wrecks involving impairment have led to the Clark County District Attorney's Office to start charging the accused with 2nd degree murder. Kruse's case is seen as a test to see if such advanced charges can stick.

Kruse is currently on house arrest. His next court appearance is set for January 9th.
