Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak has set July 8 for a special session of the state legislature to address a more than one billion dollar budget shortfall in the upcoming fiscal year.
While I am hopeful that the special session will commence on July 8, due to the unprecedented nature of the State’s current situation, I will remain flexible and provide any updates on the timing of the session as needed, based on public health conditions.

The shortfall lawmakers will need to fill is $1.27 billion, roughly 25 percent of the annual state budget.
