Right now, the proposal calls for small groups of kindergarten through 3rd grade to return first, and the return to class would be optional.
The district, with the exception of a handful of rural schools, has been in full distance learning mode since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March.
Earlier this week, the district this week released grade numbers that showed kids aren’t doing well with the whole distance learning mode, especially the younger kids and minority students.
