LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has canceled all event and appearances until further notice after suffering what his campaign calls "chest discomfort" during a campaign event in Las Vegas on Tuesday night.

Sanders was taken to a hospital, and a blockage was found in one of his arteries. Two stents were then successfully inserted.

The senator is said to be resting comfortably but has canceled all events and appearances until further notice, including a gun forum involving all of the other leading contenders for the 2020 Democratic Presidential nomination that's scheduled for Wednesday night.

On Tuesday night, Sanders made a surprise appearance at the Las Vegas Community Healing Garden on the 2nd anniversary of the mass shooting on the Strip that took the lives of 58 people attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival
