The Salvation Army Southern Nevada is warning of a scam working through the region.  At least two local households have had someone come to their door recently stating that they work for The Salvation Army and are collecting personal information for Christmas signups. This is not a practice of The Salvation Army Southern Nevada.  They don’t send representatives out to collect such information door-to-door.

At least one family has told us they provided personal information and documents, including social security numbers.   If you are approached by these people, you should contact local police.

Those wishing to sign up for assistance with Christmas gifts from The Salvation Army are encouraged to visit: and scroll down to the “CHRISTMAS ANGEL APPLICATION” box.
