LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Very few events are big enough to close down the entire Las Vegas Strip, but the Las Vegas Humana Rock 'n' Roll Marathon is one of them. And it's happening this weekend.

There are shorter runs which will be causing minor impacts on the Strip on Saturday night, but the actualy marathon is being held on Sunday.

The 26.2 mile run is scheduled to begin at 4:30pm, but closures along the Strip as well as ramps to and from I-15 through the Resort Corridor, will start as early as noon. Since the race also winds through downtown there will be street closures in the area as well. Most closures should be lifted by 10:30pm

Adding to the congestion on Sunday is the fact that the Vegas Golden Knights host Calgary on Sunday afternoon at the T-Mobile Arena. Face off is set for 4pm.
