LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Ever since the Red Rock Scenic Loop reopened, it's been a popular spot for those just wanting to get out of the house during the coronavirus pandemic.

Now that popularity will come at a price.

Visitors coming to Red Rock Canyon on or after November 3 will need to purchase what ‘are called timed entry reservations' to access the park.

Visitors will be charged a $2 processing fee for the passes, which will be purchasable at starting October 6. The $2 fee is in addition to other fees required to enter the national conservation area.

The passes will be for entry during a specific time window -- visitors will be allowed to stay until closing time after entry. The reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance of entry.
