LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - In a deal that's becoming increasingly common in southern Nevada, the Las Vegas Raiders are selling their still under-construction practice facility in Henderson to a third party in a leaseback deal worth almost $200 million.

The Raiders will continue to operate the facility currently going up across from the Henderson Executive Airport. The lease deal is for 29 years.

The Raiders bought the nearly 56 acre plot of land from the city of Henderson for $6 million in 2018.

It hasn't been revealed yet the amount of rent that the Raiders will pay to the new owner, Mesirow Financial.

Leaseback deals have become increasingly popular along the Las Vegas Strip, as several high profile properties have been sold off, only for the previous owners to continue to operate them and pay rent to the new owners.

The leaseback option frees up money for operational purposes.
