Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have identified the man who allegedly threw an infant to her death from an apartment balcony as 32-year-old Clarence Martin Jr.

Police say that during a fight with his girlfriend - the mother of the child -  Martin tossed the infant off the balcony onto the concrete below. Police say he then set fire to the apartment near Eastern and St. Rose, a fire that killed a dig. He then fled the scene, causing several accidents. One of the wrecks was a rollover on the Airport Connector exit from 215W.

Police say Martin was eventually arrested inside McCarran Airport.

Martin was due in court Sunday, but will make his first appearance on Tuesday instead.

Martin faces a host of charges, including Open Murder, Animal Cruelty and Arson.
