LVMPD Officer Fatally Shoots Armed Man In Domestic Dispute

Officers Were Responding to Domestic Disturbance Call

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A man was shot and killed by Metro Police Tuesday night after a confrontation outside of a residence at the Las Vegas Country Club near Desert Inn and Maryland Parkway.

According to investigators, officers has responded to a call of a domestic dispute and were talking to a woman involved in that dispute when a man came out of the residence with a gun.

Police say the man was acting in a threatening manner, cursing and pointing a gun under his chin. Officers then fired several shots, striking and killing the man. The man died at the scene.

The identities of both the shooting victim and the officer who fired the fatal shots have not been released as the investigation continues.

The shooting marks the 8th officer-involved shooting with Metro Police so far in 2019
