LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metro Police are asking for the public's help to find a man who beat an robbeed an elderly woman in a downtown elevator.

Police say the attack happened on the evening of January 15th in an elevator at the D Hotel. 

Video taken from the elevator shows the man grabbing the woman as she was stepping out, then throwing her to the floor and punching her. He then leaves with the woman's purse. The purse was found later that night. 

The wanted man is described as 5'11" to 6'2" tall, wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants, black shoes, black glasses and a black baseball cap.
