Hotel only booking stays for weekends

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The Las Vegas Strip is getting ever so close to being completely reopened once again.

Caesars Entertainment says their Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino will be opening back up on October 8th.

The hotel has been closed since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

When the property reopens, the hotel will only be booking stays for Thursday through Sunday. The casino will be open 7 days a week.

The resort will debut the newly branded William Hill Race & Sports Book on reopening day, with self-service sports betting kiosks and an expanded betting menu featuring in-game wagering.

The following restaurants and bars will be open:

• Gordon Ramsay Burger
• Starbucks (located in the lobby)
• Heart Bar
• Extra Lounge
• Café Hollywood
• Earl of Sandwich
• Chick-fil-A
• Strip House

In other hotel reopening news, Park MGM (formerly the Monte Carlo) will open back up on Wednesday. When it does it will be the first casino on the Strip to be completely smoke-free.
