Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - There were two standoffs on Wednesday involving Metro Police.

The first happened yesterday morning at the Suites on Boulder Highway and Flamingo.

Police were called following a stabbing, with the standoff occurring after the suspect refused to come out of his unit. The man eventually surrendered peacefully. The person who was stabbed underwent surgery at a local hospital.

The second stadoff occurred yesterday afternoon at the Eagle Trace Apartments near Craig and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Police responded to a call of an armed man who was refusing to let a woman and child leave their apartment. That person surrendered without incident after about six hours. No injuries were reported.
