Police Were Responding To An "Unknown Trouble" Call

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - One man is recovering from injuries after an officer-involved shooting in the south Las Vegas Valley.  

Metro police were sent to a home near Valley View and Cactus Monday after a call of what was believed to be a domestic violence incident.  

Officers found a man in the doorway of a house with a gun. Officers fired multiple rounds and hit the man several times.  

The man underwent surgery at the hospital and his condition is unknown. 

No officers were hurt. As is standard for an officer-involved shooting, the officers involved are on paid administrative leave pending the results of an investigatio.
