LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A 69 year old man was killed yesterday in a 10-car collision on the Valley’s east side.

The wreck happened around 3:40 yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Lamb and Sahara.

Metro Police investigators say the car that the man was driving was heading south on Lamb at a high rate of speed when it slammed into a bunch of vehicles that were stopped at a red light.

The driver of the car that caused the crash died on the way to a hospital. Metro hasn’t released the cause of the crash yet, but they’re not ruling out the possibility that the man may have had some sort of medical episode.

A second man in the car that took the brunt of the impact was hospitalized is serious condition. No other drivers required hospitalization.

The intersection of Lamb and Sahara was closed for several hours for police to investigate and to remove all the vehicles from the scene.
