LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - OJ Simpson is suing the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Simpson claims the hotel defamed him in 2017 when employees told TMZ he was booted from the property for belligerence and breaking glasses at the property's Clique bar.

Simpson denied being intoxicated, acting “belligerent” toward anyone, breaking glass or destroying property.

Security issued a trespass notice against Simpson as he and some friends were leaving the hotel, but did not specify a reason.

The TMZ article led Simpson's parole officer to investigate, but the officer found the Cosmopolitan's accusations untrue.

According to the complaint, Simpson is seeking at least $30,000 and undetermined punitive damages and attorney’s fees
