Refused Field Sobriety Tests At The Scene

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The Assistant Chief with the North Las Vegas Police Department was arrested over the weekend on DUI charges.

Just after 6 on Saturday night, an off-duty police officer called NHP dispatch to report a reckless driver on the northbound side of U.S. 95 and Tropicana that was failing to maintain a travel lane.

The pickup was hauling a horse trailer with one horse inside.

The Trooper initiated a traffic stop and came in contact with the driver who was identified as Clinton Ryan, the Assistant Chief of the North Las Vegas Police Department.

Ryan refused all field sobriety testing and was transported to CCDC where he was booked for Failing to Maintain Travel Lane, Open Container in Vehicle, and DUI First Offense.

Ryan is currently on paid administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.
