The Vegas Strong Resiliency Center (VSRC)said it is offering support to anyone impacted by the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.

Melinda Sheckells from Flip the Strip came on Nevada's Morning News to talk about how Las Vegas residents are helping out survivors of the El Paso and Dayton shootings. Melinda reminded listeners that if they wanted to find out more information on how they can help to either go to the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center's website as well as the Clark County Government website.

The VSRC will have extended hours for people who need counseling due to the recent events in El Paso and Dayton.

Melinda didn't want to end her interview on a low note, instead she gave listeners two of Las Vegas' best kept secrets when it comes to restaurants in Las Vegas. These restaurants are bBDs in Palace Station, as well as Desert Bloom Farm. Melinda says these are great places to escape from the hustle and bustle of the strip, as well as eat some amazing food.

You can listen to Melinda Sheckells every Saturday at 5 p.m. on Flip the Strip on Apple Podcasts as well as on the Radio.com app. And she also is featured on Nevada's Morning News every Tuesday and Friday.
