New York is urging travelers from eight additional states, including Nevada, to self-quarantine for 14 days.   Nevada joined the list Tuesday as concerns over rising coronvirus cases reach New York.

Nevada, California, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee now meet the metrics under New York’s travel advisory. Those states join Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.

New York's Governor has warned that those out-of-state travelers could lead to a rise in infections in a state that’s seen a gradual decline in COVID-19 reported hospitalizations, deaths and cases.   Violations of the self-quarantine executive order can face civil penalties of up to $10,000.
