Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Metro Police are calling the shooting deaths of a man and woman at a home in the southeast part of the valley a murder-suicide.

It happended overnight at a home near Flamingo and Mountain Vista. Investigators say a woman who lived in the home awoke to an arguement between her roommate and roommate's husband.

When she went into their room, she saw that the man had a gun. Police say she rushed a child out of the house and called 911.

After a short period of time, SWAT officers entered the home. Once inside, they discovered the man dead from a gunshot wound to the head. The man's wife was also shot. She was transported to UMC, but died from her wounds.

The identities of the man and woman who died have not yet been released.
