LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A new month means plenty of new laws for Nevada, including a new law targeting moped drivers.

Beginning Tuesday, moped riders must now wear a helmet. The new law, State Bill 408, covers not only moped drivers but drivers of tri-mobile vehicles as well.

A rule of thumb to remember if you're wondering whether a helmet is mandatory: If you ride it (saddle seat) and it has handle bars - helmet If you drive it, and it has a steering wheel - no helmet.
