Metro investigating man's death at car dealership

Man had entered the business acting erratically

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Metro Police are investigating the death of a man at a car dealership yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to Towbin Motorcars at Sahara and Decatur and told that a man had entered the dealership acting erratically and began battering employees.

When officers arrived, several people inside of the dealership had restrained the subject on the ground. Officers took over and placed the subject in handcuffs. Officers observed that the male was unresponsive and was having trouble breathing. He was put in the recovery position and medical personnel was summoned. Responding medical personnel pronounced the subject deceased on scene.

The identity of the man, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

An examination of this incident is being conducted by the LVMPD’s Critical Incident Review Team. This review will focus on policy, tactics, and training during the event.
