Man Busted For Hacking ATMs In Primm

Scammed ATMs Out Of Roughly 125K

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A man from Venezuela is facing federal charges for allegedly hacking into several ATM machines at a casino in Primm. 

Prosecutors say the man, identified as 42 year-old Ernesto Reyes Garcia, somehow made the machines give out between eight-hundred and one-thousand-dollars each time he requested a 20-dollar withdrawal. 

The Secret Service had been notified that ATMs around Primm were being hacked and set up and investigation. Over a two week period, surveillance video captured Garcia putting some sort of device behind ATMs around the area, not only at casinos but at a gas station as well

Altogether, Garcia is accused of stealing about 125-thousand-dollars in cash. A trial is set for October.
