LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - This story is definitely for the birds. Pigeons, that is.

MAGA hat-wearing pigeons, at that.

Yes, as President Trump uses Las Vegas as his base camp for a swing around the West this week, a number of pigeons were seen in the downtown Las Vegas area sporting miniature "Make America Great" red hats. One was even sporting a Trump-style wig.

A group calling themselves P.U.T.I.N. (standing for Pigeons United To Interfere Now) have claimed responsibility for the haberdashery. The supposedly pro-Trump group said the project was an “aerial protest piece” that came after months of “exhaustive research, logistical hurdles and pigeon care taking" and was done in advance of Wednesday's Democratic Presidential debate at the Paris Hotel.

The latest attempt to put headgear on pigeons follows on the talons of a few pigeons seen wearing cowbuy hats during last year's Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

So far, none of the pigeons have been captured but pro-pigeon groups are out setting traps in hopes of collecting the birds and removing the hats.
