LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT ) - The Southern Nevada Health District has agreed to build a 40-bed annex onto its existing location at 280 South Decatur.

The beds would be used by patients that have tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus), but are in a bad enough way to be hospitalized for their condition.

The SNHD says that 75% of the $3 million price tab for the annex will be covered with funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The annex would have mobile capability, meaning that once the pandemic is over, it could be used to help with other emergencies. It's expected to be completed in the next week and a half.
