LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metro Police arrested five teenagers near the campus of Del Sol High School on Thursday morning after getting reports they were in possession of guns.

The five, all 16 and 17 years of age, were students at the school but were off campus at the time of their arrests.

Clark County School District police were initially called to the area by a nearby business owner who reported seeing a bunch of kids hanging out by a car. The owner said that he saw one of the kids brandishing a gun.

When police arrived, several of the kids fled the scene, but all were eventually picked up.

One gun was seized. Police found the weapon hidden under a car seat.

All of those arrested were sent to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center, while the gun found was sent to a crime lab for testing to see if it matches up to other unsolved crimes around town.
