LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Fatal wrecks on the Valley roads seem to be a daily occurrence, but new numbers rom the Nevada Office Of Traffic Safety actually show a decline in traffic deaths in October, compared to the same month in 2018.

There were 18 fatalities reported on Nevada roads in October this year, down from 26 deaths reported in October 2018.

The state has seen 215 death on roads through the first 10 months of the year. That’s down more than 25% from the 289 fatalities reported over the same period in 2018.

So far, April has been the only month were fatalities were up versus the same month in 2018.

In Clark County, 134 deaths have been reported for the year so far, a drop of about 32% from the 198 deaths reported last year.

The number of unrestrained people killed in crashes is also falling, down 46% statewide from 75 deaths to 40.
