Fire Being Deemed Suspicious in Nature

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) – One person is in critical condition after fire broke out at a North Las Vegas condominium complex on Thursday morning.

Crews were called to the Coral Palms Condominiums on Decatur north of Cheyenne around 8am. Residents had called after hearing an explosion with fire at one of the units.

The fire was confined to a unit on the bottom floor. In all three people were injured, one critically.

Even though the cause of the fire hasn’t been determined, the North Las Vegas Fire Department has labeled the fire “suspicious” in nature.

A fire department spokesman said they were told by several people that the house was an expected meth house, and police were called to help out with the investigation

Two buildings, 16 units in total, were evacuated as a safety precaution.
