LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A woman is fighting for her life after being struck by a pickup in the early morning hours of Tuesday.

Police say that just after midnight the woman was crossing outside of a crosswalk near Flamingo at Paradise when she was hit by what Las Vegas Metro Police say was a 2015-19 model GMC Canyon or Chevy Colorado pickup.

The driver fled the scene. No other information, such as a license plate number, was available. Police do say the pickup might have some right front end damage from the impact with the pedestrian.

The woman who was struck was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she's currently in critical condition.

Lanes on eastbound Flamingo at Paradise were closed for roughly five hours for the police investigation.

Police are asking anyone who might have more information to call Metro's Collision Investigation Section at 702-828-4060, or you can remain anonymous by using Crimstoppers. That number is 702-385-5555, or you can go online at www.crimestoppersofnv.com
