The Nevada Highway Patrol is doing its best to maintain business as usual while taking precautions against the COVID-19 pandemic. So far, no troopers have tested positive for the virus, but NHP says each one has received personal protective equipment (PPE) and training on how to minimize exposure. Patrols continue with routine traffic enforcement in place. Although there are fewer vehicles on Nevada's roads during the statewide shutdown of non-essential businesses, troopers remain strict on holding drivers accountable to speed limits and other laws. It's feared that any crashes can take away valuable medical resources from ongoing efforts to treat and test those who may have contracted the COVID-19 virus.
