Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Clark County, along with the Southern Nevada Health District have announced a pilot Covid-19 vaccination program that will begin Thursday at Cashman Center.

The downtown site has been used for Covid-19 testing but will now become a vaccination site.

Currently, a limited number of appointments are now available for people over 70 on the Health District’s website. It’s hoped the location can administer 40 to 45-thousand vaccines a week.

The announcement comes as the state announced a change in how the vaccine would be adminstered, as well as prioritizing the more vulnerable populations.

The link to make an appointment can be found here.

Also, the City of North Las Vegas, also in coordination with the SNHD and the Clark County School District, has launched a pre-registration portal for residents aged 70 and older who wish to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, with vaccinations to begin immediately.

North Las Vegas residents 70 and older can click here to fill out a form to enroll. Enrollment will be open until Friday evening, then the City will begin pre-enrollment for the general public.
