LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - A meeting between CCSD’s Board Of Trustees and Clark County Schools Superintendent Jesus Jara adjourned Monday, even before the main item of Jara’s future as superintendent was discussed.

Dr. Jara has been under fire for his response to the COVID-19 crisis and recent comments during the special session on a bill aimed towards education funding.

The meeting was requested by several CCSD Board of Trustees members who are unhappy with the Superintendent's performance, even as recent statements supporting Jara were issued by the union representing Clark County teachers.

After three hours a vote was taken to wrap the meeting up, with no decision on Jara's future.

The school district will begin the fall semester on August 24th, operating on a distance learning platform due to the coronavirus pandemic.
